Billed as the largest indoor drive-thru spectacular in North America, 360 Group of Companies announces Wings and Wheels 2020, in support of the Crystal Gala.
This event features 120,000 square feet of vintage buses, tractors, 9-1-1 vehicles, some of the
best collector, antique, hot rod and exotic cars from private collections in British Columbia as well as vintage airplanes from across the region.
The Wings and Wheels event is set for August 15th and 16th at the Fraser Valley TRADEX and promises to be a fantastic family experience as well as a critical fundraiser for one of BC’s most respected charitable organizations.
Rick Francoeur, 306 Fabrication President states “we wanted to do something that brought people together in a fun, safe way.” “Our company has made the Crystal Gala Foundation our charity of choice, and we’ve committed a $100,000 donation to the organization to assist them in funding much-needed equipment for assisting in the fight against breast cancer. As a local business, we know how important the work this organization does for those facing this horrible disease and we also know that their annual fundraising gala had to be cancelled due to COVID. We wanted to come up with a fun event that could continue to raise much-needed money for this cause.”
Out of that inspiration Wings and Wheels, 2020 was born. All of the money raised is being
donated to the Crystal Gala, one of the leading charitable organizations in British Columbia. Since 1999 the Crystal Gala has raised over $2 million to support breast health and the women and men and their families who are struggling with the disease.
“With virtually zero overhead, our commitment continues to be to ensure that 100% of each dollar raised goes directly back into the community to purchase much-needed equipment and fund initiatives that align with our core mandate”, says the Crystal Gala.
Chair Gerri Charles notes “in a year where we believed we would not be able to make our planned gifts due to the difficulties created by COVID-19, this event is absolutely incredible and we at the Foundation are so grateful to 360 Fabrication for their commitment to assisting with this cause, and to all the businesses who are jumping on board to contribute and participate as well as the individuals who are displaying their planes and vehicles in support of this incredible cause. And we thank anyone who purchases a ticket to bring their family out to see the displays that will make up the Event.”
Individuals wishing to display their vehicles or airplane can enter with a $20 donation and receive a commemorative t-shirt. Business participation is also encouraged to participate and can find more information at 360Fabrication.com or 604-859-3608.
With both the BC Truck Museum and the BC Farm Museum participating with displays as well as significant vintage military vehicles also slated for display, support for the event continues to grow.
People wanting to buy tickets to attend Wings and Wheels should visit FVTRADEX.com.
Tickets are $20 per carload. Cars will drive through TRADEX and view the displays, which will fill both sides of the 120,000 square foot facility. Wings and Wheels will also support local businesses, with a number of food trucks on-site (food priced individually).
Black Press will also be contributing this year! By sponsoring $1000 to the Wings and Wheels event you will also receive a certificate that is valid for a total of $1,000 of print advertising, digital advertising or social media management services with any of the Black Press Media Publications in the Lower Mainland Area of BC and their associated websites. The certificates must be redeemed by July 31st, 2021 and may not be used as a credit against any existing account balances or scheduled campaigns.
For those interested and wanting to arrange a sponsorship please contact Steve Williams srthemiwilliams@gmail.com
Developed in consultation with the Fraser Health District, Wings and Wheels will adhere to all COVID safety protocols.
